Online Induction Series

12 high quality videos, each approximately 10 minutes in length.

A fast and convenient introduction to the Electricity Industry consisting of 12 high quality videos, each approximately 10 minutes in length. This provides new starters with more than just an understanding of the industry mechanics. You’ll gain an understanding the industry dynamics across the entire value chain and kick start your career.

Organisational licences

This video series is available either as a one-user 12-month subscription for $175 + GST, or you can licence some or all of the 12 videos for your organisation.  This licence allows an unlimited number of people inside your organisation to access the video series from within your own Learning Management System, or via Whiteboard’s Lightbulb learning environment.  To find out more about video licences, contact steve@whiteboardenergy.co.nz

Online induction course overview

Welcome to the Electricity Industry

A full day in-class session, at your place.

This is the ideal overview course for those new to the electricity industry, or those wanting a high-level perspective of how the whole value chain fits together, from generation to delivery. It builds on the knowledge gained in the Online Induction Series which can be completed as a convenient stand alone induction, or as the preparatory work for this in-class session.

In addition to watching the 12 high quality videos, each approximately 10 minutes in length, preparation involves a case study of Pole 1 of the HVDC which will be used as the basis for a group exercise. Then, with everyone up to speed on the basics, these highly interactive and stimulating sessions consist of group discussions, case studies, simulations and demonstrations delivered by our two expert industry trainers – Steve and David.
